Meet Dr. Maxine Marks

Dr. Maxine is a certified Teacher in education for over 30 years. She is currently a Professor in the Public School System where she has been an English instructor since 2006.

Maxine is the Director and CEO for Pearls and Pillars Tutoring and Educational Services; an institution which offers a wide range of services to students of all levels from the struggling learner to the gifted scholar.

Maxine has completed her educational studies which yields a Doctoral Degree in Counseling Psychology, an EDS Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master’s degree in School Guidance and Counseling, a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts Studies/ English and an Associate Degree in Music and Secondary Education.

SAT Prep Class: Large Group (250+ Students)

The SAT Prep Class is designed to prepare students to take the SAT by equipping them with skills and test-taking strategies to improve their score. The course will cover content and strategies for Reading, Writing, Math, and the optional essay. Upon completion of the course, students should have an understanding of the SAT exam structure, general and section-specific test-taking strategies, and the ability to identify and handle difficult or tricky questions.
